She/Her
10 year in care
Brittany has been involved in foster care advocacy, notably serving on the Youth Advisory Board from 2019 to 2022. Her journey with the foster system began at birth, leading to her first removal at age four and subsequent removals until she was twelve, resulting in numerous placements and significant educational disruptions. Despite these challenges, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and a Master's in Public Health from Boston University, specializing in Environmental Health, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics. During her studies, Brittany completed two internships, one focused on international surveys for infectious diseases and the other assisting local public health departments. She has also served as a commencement speaker for Jordan's Furniture Youth Celebration, honoring foster youth achievements. Currently residing in a Boston suburb with her fiancé and two cats, Brittany is seeking a job in public health while aspiring to advocate for foster care initiatives, aiming to be a voice for change in the system.
